I fell down the stairs because the landlord had not repaired the lights per my request

I fell down the stairs at my apartment home because the lights on the stairs were not working. I put in a work order with the landlord, but he had fixed the lights and as a result, I fell down the stairs and had to go to the emergency room. Do I have a case against the landlord or the property management company for my injuries and medical expenses?

You might have a case if you can prove that the landlord ignored your work order and they were aware the lights were faulty. Their side will probably say that you knew the lights did not work and you should have taken extra precaution when using them. I think you need to disclose more details of your situation.
