Pain management doctor left the practice, the new doctor changed my meds

I was seeing a pain management doctor for ten years. The doctor I was seeing left the practice. The new doctor changed my medications and took me off some of the narcotics. Now I am going to another doctor for my pain medications. I am still in severe pain. Do I have a case against the doctor that took over for my original pain management doctor?
